MTCIT to launch land transport Eway bill at Sohar port

Muscat: With the aim of safeguarding the rights of all parties and enhancing transportation safety, the Ministry of Transport ,Communications & Information Technology (MTCIT) will launch the trial of “land transport E-way bill” on February 4, 2024 at Sohar port .

In a statement MTCIT said: Safeguarding the rights of all parties and enhancing the safety of transportation operations, the Ministry to launch the trial of The Land Transport eWaybill.

The Land Transport eWaybill is a formal digital document used to authenticate and secure the processes involved in land freight transportation. It includes crucial information such as quantities weights, origin, and destination of goods

February 4, 2024: Launch date of our Pilot Project for Oman National eWaybill using Blockchain technology (ONEWB).

Location: Port of Sohar
