    • OMAN: Traffic Violation Points on temporary driving licence explained

    Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Wednesday issued an online statement said: “How points are calculated for traffic violations registered electronically in the temporary driving license?

    In the event that these points exceed 12 points during the period of the temporary driving license, or those points exceed 10 points during the renewal period, the temporary license will be canceled and the driving test will be repeated with the same procedures.

    If the license does not exceed the number of points in the traffic violations recorded on 6 points during the same period, the temporary driving license shall be replaced by a driving license according to its category.

    If the number of points for traffic violations during the same period is between 7 – 12 points, the temporary driving license shall be renewed for one year, with the same fee for one time only.
