    Oman Customs said: Dear Traveler / visitor, While entering or leaving the border points of Sultanate of Oman you must declare to ROP Customs if you are traveling with following

    Currencies (cash) exceeding 6000 RO ( Six Thousand Riyal Omani ) or its equivalent

    Negotiable financial instruments to be exchanged viz

    Cheques, bonds shares and payment orders

    Precious metals like gold, diamonds, gemstones, etc

    The above mentioned applies to individuals, companies and institutions

    Non- declaration exposes you to legal accountability”
