Foreign Minister Welcomes Venezuela’s Plan to Open Embassy in Muscat
Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received a telephone call this evening from Yván Gil Pinto, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
During the call, the two ministers discussed the latest developments related to the Republic of Venezuela. They emphasized the importance of respecting international law and adhering to dialogue and diplomatic approaches as essential means to safeguard the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of states.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister expressed his country’s appreciation for the Sultanate of Oman’s principled positions and its calls to ensure security and peace for Venezuela, as well as to promote peaceful coexistence among nations.
For his part, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi expressed his appreciation for the level of bilateral relations between the two countries. He welcomed Venezuela’s intention to open a resident embassy in Muscat, noting the positive impact this step will have in strengthening cooperation and supporting trade and economic partnership opportunities between the two friendly countries and their peoples.
