Al Rustaq: Colonel Muhammad bin Awad Al Shanfari, Police Commander of South Al Batinah Governorate , said that the Royal Oman Police and other key sectors concerned with emergency management in the Governorate of South Al Batinah have raised the state of alert and readiness, in order to reduce the damage caused by the heavy flow and entry of valleys to the homes of some citizens.
He pointed out that the police patrols alerted all visitors to the valleys to quickly evacuate them at an early stage, in anticipation of its flow and increase in the water level in it, and also coordinated with the General Directorate of Police Aviation to put helicopters ready to deal with emergency situations. He called on citizens and residents to exercise utmost caution and communicate with the concerned authorities in emergency cases and not to risk crossing valleys due to the continuous rain and sudden descent of valleys in the various wilayats of the South Al Batinah Governorate .
