    Muscat: Chances of thunderstorms and heavy rain associated with active downdraft winds and hail forecast for Sunday, according to the Oman Meteorology (MET)

    MET said: “Partly cloudy to cloudy over most of the governorates with chances of thunderstorms and heavy rain associated with active downdraft winds and hail which may cause flash flood are expected over AL Dhahira ,South Al Batinah, Muscat, Al Dakhylia, North Al Shargiya, South Al Shargiya

    Chance of varying intensity rain over Governorates of AL Buraimi, North AL Batinah and parts of AL Wusta

    Chance of low clouds or fog batches over parts of AL Wusta and Dhofar Governorates.

    Chance of dust rising over desert and open areas

    Alert Horizontal visibility might reduce during thunder rainfall, fog formation and dust rising”
