Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs wins first place in International Holy Quran Competition in Egypt

Cairo: The Omani contestant, Al-Hafiz Abdullah bin Saeed Al-Hakamani, won first place in the fourth section of the 30th International Holy Quran Competition in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in memorizing the Holy Quran in its entirety, including its intonation, interpretation, and understanding its general purposes.

The competition includes six branches, and the total number of participants reached more than one hundred contestants from sixty-four countries, with arbitrators from nine countries, including the Sultanate of Oman. Participation was preceded by the establishment of a qualification program for the contestants before participating in the activities of the global competition, in order to ensure good preparation and highlight the memorizers of the Book of God among the people of the Sultanate of Oman globally.

The participation of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman in international competitions of the Holy Qur’an as judging and competing is part of its priorities in serving the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, and to encourage memorizing and interpreting the Book of God, and understanding its meanings and purposes.
