Muscat: The Royal Court Affairs, represented by the Royal Gardens and Farms, won gold, silver and bronze medals in the Extra Virgin Olive Oil competition held in London.

The extra virgin olive oil product produced from the Riad Al-Jabal farm in Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar was crowned with (5) two gold, two silver and one bronze medals, continuing its brilliance and confirming its quality in international competitions.

The product achieved the gold medal for the best single-variant extra virgin olive oil, a gold medal for the best single-class extra virgin olive oil for the Coratina variety, and the silver medal for the best single-class extra virgin olive oil for the Arbecaina variety, in addition to the silver medal for the best single-class extra virgin olive oil. The variety is for the Kronaki variety, in addition to winning the bronze medal for the best single-grade extra virgin olive oil for the Picual variety. Prizes will be distributed in a ceremony to be held on the 11th of July.

Hilal bin Mohammed Al-Waeli, Head of Horse and Camel Affairs, Farms and Royal Gardens, said on this occasion: By the grace of God, this product continues to shine and lead, as it deservedly won a total of twelve international awards in one year in the 2022 AD season through its participation in three competitions. prestigious international level.

His Excellency added that this achievement is a clear evidence of the stability of the quality of the extra virgin olive oil produced from the Riad Al-Jabal farm and the mastery of all stages of its production, starting from choosing the site for planting olive trees, starting with the technical and scientific care and care of agricultural transactions, to the accurate harvesting methods and extraction in the best modern methods and with all possibilities at a level of Proficiency and skill, and there is no doubt that this continuation on the path of leadership and excellence bears a profound indication of the quality of Omani products.

It is noteworthy that the extra virgin olive oil produced at the farm of Riyadh Al-Jabal in Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar has previously won (3) medals, one silver and two bronze in the olive oil competition held at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland.
