Oman Wins H.H. Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award

Muscat: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Health (MOH), won on Monday the H.H. Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah informatics Award at its 20th session for the Tarassud Plus project at Bayan Palace in Kuwait under the auspices of H.H. Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait. 

The Tarassud+ won this award as one of the best projects develops the human capacities in the field of information development. 

The Sultanate’s delegation included H.E. Dr. Fatma bint Mohammed Al-Ajmi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Health for Administrative, Financial and Planning Affairs, along with Bader Sulaiman Awlad Thani, Director General of Information Technology. 

Tarassud+ is the official covid-19 application of the Sultanate of Oman for citizens/residents/travelers to Oman. The Ministry of Health, Oman, developed and maintained the app and provided features like digital vaccination certificates, RT PCR results, and Covid-19-related statistics.  

Furthermore, the application provides awareness materials, alerts, decisions and detection of isolated persons.

In addition, through Tarassud+ the user can access the lab test results, vaccination details, as well as immunization certificate by using the QR code.
