    Muscat: OmanAir WY824 Experiences Technical Issue During Flight from Kuala Lumpur to Muscat

    In a statement OmanAir said: “Regarding flight WY824 on 05 August 2023 from Kuala Lumpur to Muscat, the aircraft experienced a technical issue while on the ground and the passengers had to disembark after boarding.

    Once back in the airport, all passengers were provided with refreshments, based on the available resources. After 5 hours had passed, as per protocol, the passengers were provided with accommodation. There was a several-hour delay at immigration, however, all passengers have been safely accommodated in nearby hotels.

    A number of passengers have already been connected to alternative flights and we are working on arranging flights for the remaining passengers as soon as possible.

    The safety and comfort of our guests remains our utmost priority at all times.

    Thank you for your understanding and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
