Muscat:  7th Oman Derm International Conference & Exhibition, organized by the Omani Dermatology Society in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, began today, will last for two days.

Dr. Aisha bint Abdullah Al-Ali, President of the Omani Dermatology Association and President of the Conference, said in her speech during the conference: “The Seventh Oman International Dermatology Conference and Exhibition came as a result of the merger of the Muscat International Dermatology Conference with the Salalah Dermatology Conference to become the Oman Derm Conference.” After extensive study in order to unify efforts and contribute to the best ways to improve health services, the conference will be held annually, alternately, between the cities of Muscat and Salalah.”

She stressed that the main objectives of the conference are to provide the opportunity to present developments in the field of skin disease diagnosis, highlight the possibility of using artificial intelligence, review the latest treatment methods used locally and globally, and provide the opportunity for pharmaceutical companies and related medical equipment companies to display the latest technologies through the exhibition accompanying the conference.

Dermatologists, plastic surgeons, allergists and immunologists, pediatricians, family doctors, general practitioners, pharmacists and health workers in various related fields from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman participate in the international conference, in addition to the participation of trainee doctors in the Omani Board of Medical Specialties and medical students.

The conference is the main scientific event that sheds light on the latest methods of diagnosing and treating various skin diseases and lasers in the Sultanate of Oman, as it will provide great opportunities to present and present the latest products, studies and developments related to dermatology and cosmetic medicine, in addition to providing the opportunity to meet experts in the field and key decision makers from all over the world. around the world.

The opening of the conference was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al-Sabti, Minister of Health, and in the presence of Their Excellencies Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Health, a number of officials, the President of the Middle East Dermatology and Cosmetic Society, and a number of representatives of dermatology associations and associations from various countries of the world.

It is noteworthy that the Omani Dermatology Association, since its inception in 2006, seeks to enhance the process of education and training in the branches of dermatology and cosmetic dermatology and to increase interest in this important medical specialty.
