Omani delegation visits the central laboratory for analysis of pesticide residues in Cairo

Cairo: A delegation from the Sultanate of Oman represented by the Ministry of Agricultural and Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources visited the Central Laboratory for Analysis of Pesticide Residues in Cairo, one of the internationally accredited laboratories to review laboratory tests in methods of detecting pesticide residues in agricultural products.

Dr. Hind Abd Allah, Director of the Central Laboratory for Pesticide Residues, gave an explanation of the stages of the laboratory’s development that enhanced the laboratory’s contribution to strengthening the food safety control system by analyzing contaminants in food using the latest equipment and the best experts in this field, in addition to choosing it among the internationally accredited laboratories to support the movement of Exports and imports between countries and contributes to opening new markets for Egyptian products.

The Omani delegation toured the plant’s departments and was briefed on the procedures for achieving food safety and its contribution to supporting Egyptian agricultural exports.

The visit comes to learn about the Egyptian system for controlling Egyptian agricultural exports and the new coding system for productive farms.
