Muscat: Omani farmers export 2065 tons of Busur crop: MOCIIP

In a statement ONA said: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion clarified that the quantities of the Busur crop for the year 2020, that were exported to foreign markets directly by farmers amounted to 2,065 tons and 300 kilograms, as government support was disbursed to them in the amount of 62,500 Omani riyals per ton.

The Ministry has completed receiving the Busur crop for the year 2020 from (66) suppliers, which continued during the period from April 11 to May 20 of this year from all governorates of the Sultanate, which was represented in Palm Al-Mabsali, Al-Madloki and Abu Naringeh crops, at the Ministry’s Busur warehouse in Al-Wadi Al-Kabeer. Quantities received 190 tons and 531 kilograms.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion emphasized that paying attention to the quality of the Bosour product that is supplied to the Ministry or that is exported directly by suppliers to foreign markets contributes to maintaining its well-known reputation, which competes with other countries’ Busur products in the markets.
