Omani FM, Japanese counterpart stress the top priority in achieving urgent truce in Gaza

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Yoko Kamikawa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, stressed the top priority in achieving an urgent truce to the war in Gaza, to enable the humanitarian relief needs of the population to reach a greater and faster extent, and to stop the occurrence of more civilian casualties.

They also stressed, during a phone call, the importance of the language of dialogue in finding a final and permanent solution to the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution and international law, which will lead to breaking the cycle of violence and extremism.

Regarding the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, the Foreign Minister and his Japanese counterpart expressed their support for further commercial, economic and tourism partnerships and encouraging ways to expand exchange and cooperation in various fields.
