Omani Hajj Mission Continues Services for Pilgrims on Day of Tarwiyah

Makkah: The Omani Hajj Mission is pressing ahead with its services to Omani pilgrims on the Day of Tarwiyah—the 8th Day of Dhul-Hijjah, which is actually the first day of the Hajj pilgrimage.

The mission is taking care of an influx of Omani pilgrims to the holy site of Mina, providing them with administrative, medical and guidance services to enable them to perform their rituals in the best possible manner.

Dr. Zahir bin Abdullah Al Hosni, Deputy Head of the Omani Hajj Mission (for Hajj Affairs and Hajj Companies), affirmed that the mission is conducting an integrated organizational plan aimed at providing the best services to Omani pilgrims, in coordination with the authorities concerned in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Zahir urged pilgrims to adhere to the medical and administrative guidelines and to cooperate with the supervisors and Hajj campaigns.

For his part, Lt. Col. Ahmed bin Hamad Al Bartamani, Head of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) delegation affiliated to the Omani Hajj mission, told Oman News Agency (ONA) that the ROP delegation undertakes organizational roles aimed at enhancing the security and safety of Omani pilgrims. Lt. Col. Ahmed Al Bartamani explained that the ROP’s delegation devised specialized emergency plans to deal with human density and exceptional cases in the camps of Mina and Arafat.

The Day of Tarwiyah is the penultimate main Day of Hajj–the Day of Arafa. Pilgrims flock to Mina camp to spend the night there in preparation for standing at Mount Arafat tomorrow, Day of Arafa—the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah.
