Omani Industry Day on Thursday, February 9

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, will celebrate the Omani Industry Day next Thursday, which this year focuses on the In-Country Value.

The celebration witnesses the announcement of the outputs of the Transformational Industries Laboratory and the Industry of the Future and the signing of a number of agreements that came within the outputs of the laboratory. In promoting Omani exports to the local and international markets.

On the occasion of the Omani Industry Day, a meeting will be held that will bring together His Excellency Qais bin Muhammad Al-Youssef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and a number of officials in the Ministry and the authorities concerned with in-country value, with industrialists, project owners and investors. To enhance the local added value in the industrial sector, exchange views on promising investment opportunities in the sector, and find solutions to the challenges and difficulties facing the sector.

Engineer Sami bin Salem Al-Sahib, Director General of Industry at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, said: The ministry seeks to develop the industrial sector and increase its contribution to the GDP by updating laws and providing facilities and exemptions to Omani factories.
