Omani Citizen Amjad bin Sultan Al-Zaidi from the wilayat of Dhank invented a modern electronic irrigation device that contains several sensors, all of which work under one smart chip that performs statistics on the percentage of water consumption.
Al-Zaidi stated that he started the idea of the project at the beginning of the education stage at the age of thirteen, where he says: “The idea was based on my passion for travel, and the issue of watering trees in the house hindered me, and from here the idea began.
He pointed out that the idea of the project depends on sensing the percentage of moisture in the soil, so that in the event of soil dryness, the sensor gives an order to the pump to start pumping water, and in the event that the soil is sufficed from water, it stops. For cultivation or not, by sensing the percentage of elements in the soil, and gives a reading if the elements in the soil are sufficient for cultivation, explaining that it also senses the percentage of water in the tank, as it is linked to an SMS chip in the event of low water from the tank, and sends a text message.
