Muscat : Air relief flights of the Sultanate of Oman have arrived in the Republic of Sudan on Friday, May 19,2023.
The first air relief flights operated by the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Oman Charitable Organisation and in cooperation with the Royal Air Force of Oman have arrived through a number of military transport aircraft of the Royal Air Force of Oman. The flights carry various relief materials and essential humanitarian needs.
The military transport planes of the Royal Omani Air Force were received upon their arrival at Port Sudan International Airport in the sisterly Republic of Sudan by His Excellency Ali bin Sulaiman Al Darmaki, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman accredited to the Republic of Sudan, His Excellency Ahmed Adam Bakhit, Minister of Social Development and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Handling Humanitarian and Health Conditions, and Mr. Fathallah Haj Ahmed, the governor of the Red Sea State, and Othman Abu Fatima, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The operation of these flights comes within the framework of the humanitarian efforts provided by the Sultanate of Oman in emergency and exceptional cases for brothers and friends. These flights will continue over the coming days, in solidarity with the Republic of Sudan, through a group of other air relief flights in a continuous air bridge.
