Omani Press Forum begins in Salalah

Salalah: The first edition of the Omani Press Forum kicked off this evening at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah, with the participation of about 200 journalists and media professionals from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

The forum will continue until September 5. The opening was sponsored by His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. The forum includes holding a photo exhibition, holding a meeting of the Executive Office of the Asia-Pacific Journalists Association, a joint meeting between the Gulf Journalists Association and the Executive Office of the Asia-Pacific Journalists Association to agree on the announcement of the West Asian Federation, and a joint meeting with the African Federation of Journalists.

A dialogue seminar entitled “Tourism and Economic Investment Opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman, and the Role of the Media in Promoting Them” will be held tomorrow under the patronage of His Excellency the Chairman of the Shura Council, addressing a number of topics, including the economic and tourism situation in the Sultanate of Oman.

The forum is organized by the Omani Journalists Association in partnership with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and sponsored by the Ministry of Information, Dhofar Municipality, and a number of private institutions.
