Omani students launch online platform for palm products marketing

Sohar: The Qitmeer student company from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Sohar launched an online platform for marketing palm products in the Sultanate of Oman. And unexploited in industries and products of economic return.

Sumaya bint Ali al-Maamari, CEO of the Qitmeer Student Company, said: The idea of ​​the platform came according to a work methodology based on the sustainability of palm products, as the company focuses on producing various household products such as (cups, paper plates, home furnishings and accessories) in addition to alternative products to plastic, and various types of Dates and molasses extracted from palm trees.

She explained that the platform seeks to effectively display the products of artisans, farmers and palm protection teams, and to market their products and services in the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, and to reach the largest group of beneficiaries.

She stated that the company seeks to reach producers of palm waste with the aim of marketing their products through cooperation with craft centers in various governorates, and achieving sustainability by reducing pollution resulting from burning palm raw materials and preserving the environment by collecting palm output in company-specific containers and making products. Especially environmentally friendly.

The CEO of the Qitmeer Student Company pointed out that the company has drawn up future plans to attract investments in the products it markets or produces, by participating in courses and conferences with businessmen and searching for ways of cooperation and exchanging expertise and experiences.
