Muscat: The Ministry of Labour (MOL) on Thursday reiterated that private sector establishment employing with 50 workers or more to appoint an Omani citizen to supervise occupational health & safety work
In a notice Ministry of Labour said: Reference to Ministerial Decision No. (4/2021) amending some provisions of the regulations for occupations safety and health measures in establishments and companies subject to the labour law to appoint an Omani to supervise occupational health and safety work for every 50 workers/employees by January 2022.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Labour would like to emphasize on the need to comply with the aforementioned ministerial decision to all establishment/companies employing 50 workers/employees or more, knowing that companies can benefit from the various support funding opportunities provided by the ministry for training programs associated with employment or on-the-job training in coordination with the Oman Society for Petroleum Services
