Oman’s Al Hadhrami Crowned Most Winning Trainer in UAE Season

Muscat: The equestrian sector in the Sultanate of Oman continues to witness notable growth, driven by increasing interest among Omani youth and their connection to the country’s heritage.

Horse riding has gained wide popularity among young Omanis as a reflection of cultural identity and a link to longstanding traditions.

Among the prominent figures in this field is trainer Ibrahim bin Zaher Al Hadhrami, who began his career in 2001 and turned to full-time training in 2013. He has since recorded several achievements, including leading the horse “Heros de Lagarde” to victory in the UAE President’s Cup for the 2024/2025 season and securing the Best Horse title in the UAE for the 2023/2024 season.

Al Hadhrami has recently added a new milestone by being named the Most Winning Trainer at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club Racecourse for the 2025/2026 season. He also secured first place at Al Ain Equestrian Club and achieved top results in purebred Arabian horse races across the UAE, in addition to finishing second overall across all categories.

In a statement to the Oman News Agency (ONA), Al Hadhrami said that the achievement reflects teamwork and continued efforts to enhance performance and achieve further success in upcoming competitions.

He affirmed that preparations are ongoing for the next season, with the aim of attaining additional titles and strengthening Oman’s presence in international equestrian events.
