    • Omani Women’s Association in Seeb launches the ‘Hafiz’ project

    Seeb: The Omani Women’s Association in Seeb launched a “Hafiz” project to rehabilitate persons with disabilities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and a number of supporting agencies from the private sector.

    Wafa bint Ali Al-Amriya, Chairperson of the Omani Women’s Association in Seeb, said: “The project aims to integrate people with disabilities with society by qualifying them to possess the skill and craft appropriate to their abilities, and to create job opportunities for people with simple mental abilities or disabilities that can be rehabilitated, in addition to helping them monitor their social and psychological status.” and professionalism in society.

    She added that at the beginning of the project, focus was placed on rehabilitating people with disabilities in the field of computers, then other fields were added that contribute to preparing them and adding skills and capabilities that qualify them to obtain jobs, to become a source of income for them.

    It is noteworthy that the Omani Women’s Association in Seeb is seeking, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and private supportive agencies, to find partnerships with the Association for Children with Disabilities and associations interested in caring for people with disabilities to expand the category of beneficiaries.
