Salalah: The “Lamer Al Mughsail” project is considered one of the Omani youth projects in the Dhofar Governorate, which contribute to enhancing tourism services during the Dhofar Khareef 2023 season, and provide an outlet for families and visitors.

The project, which was founded by a group of Omani youth, is being held for the second year in a row in the Mughsail area in Salalah during the Khareef tourism season, and is entirely managed by a small Omani company with the support of the private sector.

Nadir bin Bakhit Fadel, founder of the “Lamer Al Mughsail” project, told Oman News Agency: The idea of the project was to establish a recreational tourism project that provides various services for all age groups during the Khareef tourism season in Dhofar Governorate, which witnesses an active tourist movement from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman, by converting the course of the valley that reaches Fadkhet Creek into a tourist attraction.

He added: The project contributes to improving the tourism infrastructure in the Mughsail area in the Wilayat of Salalah. By providing various entertainment and tourism services to families and visitors during the exceptional Khareef season, as well as providing job opportunities for Omani youth in the region, and involving small and medium enterprises in the tourism development of the region.

He indicated that the “Lamer Al Mughsail” project includes a number of tourism services targeting all family members, including a corner for restaurants and cafes that serve a variety of foods, and another corner for children’s games and bicycles, in addition to providing boats for picnics and enjoying water tours with an artificial waterfall and beach sessions.

It is worth noting that the Mughsail area in the Wilayat of Salalah is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Dhofar Governorate. It is famous for its soft silver sandy beaches and its natural water fountains that attract visitors near the Al Marneef Cave.
