Oman’s 3-5 star hotel revenues up 7.9% by end of July

Oman hotel revenues reaches over 132mn up 7.9pc by July 2024

Muscat: Statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that the revenues of hotels with a classification of (3-5) stars in the Sultanate of Oman increased by 7.9 percent by the end of July 2024 to reach 132 million and 306 thousand Omani riyals, compared to 122 million and 628 thousand Omani riyals by the end of July 2023.

Statistics showed that this increase is attributed to the increase in the total number of hotel guests by 9.3 percent, reaching about 1,204,426 guests by the end of July 2024, compared to 1,102,314 guests by the end of July 2023, while the occupancy rate recorded a growth of 2.1 percent.

Statistics showed that the number of Omani guests increased by 7.7 percent to reach 445,000 guests, and the number of Gulf guests increased by 0.6 percent to record 101,341 guests.

The number of other Arab guests reached 58,252, an increase of 12.8 percent, while the number of European guests increased by 18.9 percent to reach 308,938 guests.

The number of guests from the Americas increased by 4.4 percent to reach 34,928 guests, while the number of guests from the African continent reached 6,469 guests, an increase of 0.9 percent, while the number of guests from Asia increased by 9.9 percent to reach 180,739 guests, and from Oceania 17,200 guests, a decrease of 30.6 percent.
