Oman’s Airport sees through over 7m passengers in first half of 2024

Muscat: The total number of passengers through the airports of the Sultanate of Oman during the first half of 2024 increased by 11.9% to stand at 7,074,854 (onboard 53,316 flights) compared to 6,322,152 passengers (onboard 49,013 flights) during the first half of 2023, according to preliminary statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The number of passengers through Muscat International Airport by the end of June 2024 reached 6,386,267, constituting a rise by 11.8%. These passengers traveled onboard 48,052 flights, up by 8.7%.

Moreover, the number of passengers through Salalah Airport reached 628,951, comprising a rise by 10.9% compared to the period by the end of June 2023. These passengers traveled onboard 4,688 flights, up by 7.3%.

International flights through Salalah Airport stood at 2,475 (with 306,989 passengers onboard), while the number of domestic flights stood at 2,213 (with 321,962 passengers onboard). Further, the number of passengers through Sohar Airport stood at 29,751 (onboard 268 flights).

The number of passengers through Duqm Airport stood at 29,885 passengers onboard 308 flights.
