Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs today launched “Al Ribat” initiative, which provides financial support worth RO 120,000 in favour of 306 pilgrims and Umrah performers from the Social Security segment.
The financial aid benefits those registered in the records of the Ministry of Social Development for the Hajj season 1444 AH in accordance with approved eligibility criteria. Applications are received via the ministry’s electronic system for pilgrims of Oman.
The launch of the initiative, which coincides with the “Year of Endowment”, constitutes a milestone in endowments in Oman.
The initiative has three main features: attracting new assets, developing the revenues of existing endowments and launching initiatives in the “Endowment Tender” and benefiting the endowment target entities. – ONA
