    • Oman’s CAA issued heavy rain alert for today

    Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a heavy rain alert for today , 7 Aug 2023.

    In its weather forecast said: Heavy rainfalls ranging between (20—40) mm Poor horizontal visibility due to dust rising during thundershowers Downdraft wind (15-35) knots Flash floods (wadis)

    The Affected areas are the mountainous areas of Al Dakhyliah, Al Dhahira, Al Buraimi, South Al Batinah, North Al Batinah, North Al Sharqiyah and Dhofar Governorate. 

    To ensure safety 

    Immediately move away from low places and wadis, and do not attempt to swim in wadis 

    Do not risk crossing wadis in order to protect yourself and those with you in the vehicle 

    Keep an eye on children and never allow them to approach wadis
