Muscat: Several parts of Oman may witness thunder and rain on Monday, July 17, 2023 from 12 pm till 8 pm, said Oman Meteorology.
In a statement Oman’s Meteorology said, the affected areas that may witness thunder rain are the Governorates of South and North Al Sharqiyah, Al Dakhiliyah, South Al Batinah and parts of Al Dhahira governorates
“The weather forecast rainfalls ranging between (15-35) mm downdraft wind (25-45) knots, poor horizontal visibility due to dust rising during thundershower, the statement added.
Oman Meteorology had advised people to move way from low places and wadis, and do not attempt to swim in wadis, do not risk crossing wadis in order to protect yourself and those with you in the vehicle, keep an eye on children and never allow them to approach wadis.
