Cyclone Cat 3 “Biparjoy” is moving north toward the India and Pakistan coasts and there is no direct impact on the Sultanate of Oman weather conditions, said Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
The latest weather maps and analysis of the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center indicates the development of tropical system to a tropical cyclone CAT 3 in the north of the Arabian Sea and it lay centered on latitude 18.4 N and longitude 67.7 E, wind speed around the center is estimated between 96 to 105 knots, 920 km away from Sultanate coasts moving north toward the India and Pakistan coasts, and there is no direct impact on the Sultanate of Oman weather.

Sunday 11/6/2023:
The tropical cyclone continue at CAT 3, the wind speed around the center is estimated between 96 and 105 knots, with high and medium clouds advection over most of the governorates. Caution, maximum wave height may reach 3 — 6 meters along South Al Sharqgiya Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates, with chance of sea water extension to the low level areas.
Monday 12/6/2023:
The tropical cyclone will decrease to CAT 2, the wind speed around the center is estimated between 83 to 90 knots with high and medium clouds advection over most of the governorates. Caution, maximum wave height may reach 3 — 6 meters along Arabian Sea coasts and 2 —4 meters along Oman Sea coasts, with chance of sea water extension to the low level areas.
Tuesday 13/6/2023:
The tropical cyclone will decrease to CAT 1, the wind speed around the center is estimated between 64 to 82 knots with high and medium clouds advection over most of the governorates. Caution, maximum wave height may reach 3 — 6 meters along Arabian Sea coasts and 2 —4 meters along Oman Sea coasts, with chance of sea water extension to the low level areas.
