Oman’s CAA issues Safety Circular for Paramotor’s Teams

Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has warned Paramotor’s Teams to adhere to safety regulations and standards and to comply with safe practices to avoid legal accountability.

In a statement CAA said: “In the context of streamlining Hang-Gliding permitting procedures in the Sultanate of Oman, the relevant regulations have been updated, an exposition guidance has been established and ratified a cooperation agreement between the Omani Aviation Sports Committee (OASC) and the International Association of Hang-Gliding Pilots and Instructors (APPI) to share all updated educational resources, pilot licensing, and trainer preparation.

Additionally, a memorandum of understanding between the Civil Aviation Authority and the Omani Committee for Air Sports to regulate recreational aviation activities, as well as the preparation of a training policy document.

Therefore, the Civil Aviation Authority emphasizes the importance of adhering to safety regulations and standards, and urges compliance with safe practices. The authority will take legal actions in the event of any detected violations. Thank you for your cooperation”
