Oman’s CMA explores Saudi experience in Global Indices, enhancing governance

Muscat (ONA) :An Omani delegation headed by the Capital Market Authority representing the capital market institutions in the Sultanate of Oman visited the kingdom of Saudi Arabia to acquaint with the Saudi experienced in global indices and enhancing governance.

The delegation was headed by Abdullah Salim Al Salmi, CMA Executive President

During the visit, the delegation met with Mohammed Abdullah Elkuwaize, chairman of the Saudi Capital Market Authority.

The visit comes within the joint cooperation aimed at exchanging expertise and proposals on capital market areas.

The meeting discussed cross-border registration of financial services between the two countries, and the Saudi experience in the field of central counter party as well as enhancing online trading through the services offered by the licensed financial institutions.

The Omani delegation also reviewed the Saudi initiatives related to enhancing governance  in the listed companies, as well as the institutionalization of investors’ relations in the listed companies.
