Oman’s Commerce Minister Receives UAE Minister of Foreign Trade

Muscat: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion received here today Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The two sides discussed a range of topics of concern to the two countries. They also reviewed means of promoting the joint cooperation in trade sector.

The two sides also exchanged expertise in organizing commercial work, limiting difficulties and increasing the trade exchange between the Sultanate of Oman and the UAE.

The two sides also reviewed features of trade strategies in the two countries and data of commercial exchange. The volume of trade exchange between the two countries hit about RO 4.19 billion till the end of September 2022.

The total Omani non-oil exports to the UAE stood at RO 917.6 million whereas the volume of imports stood at about RO 3.272 billion.
