The Consumer Protection Department in the South Al Batinah Governorate in Barka, represented by the Inspection and Market Control Department, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources, seized an establishment working in the field of selling veterinary products that violates the Consumer Protection Law and its implementing regulations and manipulates the dates of expired products and replaces them with other valid dates and selling other expired products.

The details comes through the inspection visits carried out by the inspection and market monitoring team in cooperation with the General Directorate of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources on the governorate’s markets, where the institution was caught selling and trading adulterated products. Some of them are for the year 2017, when (900) packages were seized those validity dates were changed by placing a sticker with other new dates, and 109 expired packages were seized, and accordingly the administration began to take legal measures against the violators.

The authority calls on it to not hesitate to control everything that may harm the health and safety of the consumer, and to deter anyone who begged himself to violate the rights of consumers. The authority also appeals to consumers to report any violations they notice in the markets through various communication channels.
