Oman’s EA launches campaign to plant wild trees in Salalah

Salalah: The Environment Authority, represented by the General Directorate of Environment in Dhofar Governorate, today launched a campaign to plant seedlings of wild trees in the Wilayat of Salalah, as part of a series of continuous cultivation campaigns throughout the year.

The campaign aims to plant about 5,500 wild trees. To increase the green area and combat desertification, in order to achieve the goals of the national initiative to plant 10 million trees of “cactus, iris, sidr and sagot”.

It is worth noting that the campaign is being implemented by the Environment Agency in cooperation with Dhofar Municipality and Petroleum Development Oman, and it will last for five days.
