Bandar Seri Begawan: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Brunei Darussalam held a reception on the 53rd Glorious National Day at the Royal Berkshire Hall, in the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan, under the patronage of Ambassador Irma bint Saeed Al Kathiri, the accredited Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam.
Ambassador Irma bint Saeed Al Kathiri delivered a speech in which she began by talking about the modern and renewed renaissance of the Sultanate of Oman, praising the progress reached in bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam.
The Government of Brunei Darussalam was represented by His Excellency Dato’ Seri Setia Al Haj Muhammad Juwanda bin Haj Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development. During the ceremony, documentary films were shown about the history and heritage of the Sultanate of Oman and the comprehensive and renewed economic renaissance it is witnessing in various fields.
On the sidelines of the reception ceremony, the embassy also held a cultural exhibition of a group of heritage collectibles and pictures of the most important heritage, cultural and tourist sites in the Sultanate of Oman, and the most prominent landmarks of the Omani Renaissance.
The ceremony was attended by officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Development, and from other ministries and government institutions, in addition to members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam, university presidents, and an elite group of university and higher education professors, in addition to military personnel, doctors, and businessmen and businesswomen.
