“Estidama” to announce the financial sector development plan

Muscat: “Estidamah”, the National Programme for Financial Sustainability and Development of the Financial Sector, which is supervised by the Ministry of Finance, will reveal in a press conference on Monday, the program’s integrated work plan and its path, the strategic pillars, enablers, initiatives, and entities implementing and supporting the implementation of the plan.

The National Program “Sustainability” seeks to continue implementing financial sustainability initiatives to improve the country’s public financial indicators and make the financial sector a major enabler of achieving the goals of the “Oman Vision 2040”.

The program works to do this by raising the competitiveness rate in the financial sector, providing suitable financing options for various groups, and expanding the size of the financing market to accommodate the upcoming transformations in the investment and economic sectors.

The financial sector development plan presented by the National Program was approved in cooperation with relevant authorities, which included initiatives and procedures aimed at enabling the financial sector to achieve the economic and investment goals of the “Oman vision 2040”.
