Oman’s Finance Minister receives Bahraini Minister of Finance and National Economy

Muscat: His Excellency Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, received in his office today His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the accompanying delegation, which is currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.

The two sides held an official discussion session during which they reviewed Oman Vision 2040, its goals and enhanced national programs to achieve them, and reviewed the Omani experience in overcoming the financial crisis, reducing public debt and containing financial risks, and providing a visual presentation on the experience of the Sultanate of Oman with regard to financial sustainability and developing the financial sector by reviewing initiatives.

Continuing from the launch of the financial balance plan until achieving financial sustainability. The two sides also discussed issues of common interest related to the Gulf Cooperation Council, in addition to discussing ways to enhance cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the field of supporting and managing government investments, increasing the volume of trade exchange, and other areas related to financial and economic affairs.

The discussion session was attended from the Omani side by His Excellency Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance, His Excellency Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, and from the Bahraini side by His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and His Excellency Khalid bin Ibrahim Humaidan, CEO of the Development Council. Economic, and a number of officials from both sides participated in the meeting.
