Oman’s Finance Minister Wins “Best Arab Minister” Award for 2025

Oman Secures Top Honour at Arab Government Excellence Awards 2025

Cairo: Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, was today honoured with the “Arab Government Excellence Award”, receiving the title of “Best Arab Minister” in the Award’s 4th edition for the year 2025.

The announcement was made during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo, with the participation of senior Arab officials and representatives of regional organisations.

On this occasion, Al Habsi affirmed that the honour “reflects the status attained by the government work system in the Sultanate of Oman under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik”.

He stressed that this achievement is not a tribute to an individual, but rather the result of integrated institutional efforts, embodying a spirit of teamwork grounded in efficiency, transparency and the delivery of high-quality services.

Al Habsi added that the accolade brings with it greater responsibility to sustain this level of excellence, calling for continued efforts to promote a culture of innovation, strengthen cooperation with Arab countries and contribute to shaping a more progressive and distinguished future for government action in the Arab world.
