Oman’s first edition of Governorates Marathon to Kick off in Nizwa

Muscat: Activities of the Governorates Marathon in its first edition will kick off this Friday.

The marathon is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in partnership with Oman Broadband Company, Sabco Sport Group and Aspire Zone of Qatar.

The marathon includes a series of running events with high and international standards. It will be held in various governorates in the Sultanate of Oman.

The marathon provides a platform for runners of all ages to adopt a more active and healthier lifestyle. It includes 10 km, 6 km and 2 km races for all age groups.

The 1st marathon will be held in the Wilayat of Nizwa this Friday, then in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi on 18 February, in the Wilayat of Sohar on 25 February, in the Wilyat of Al Buraimi on 11 March, in the Wilayat of Al Rustaq on 18 March, in the Wilayat of Salalah on 5 August, in the Wilayat of Ibri on 21 October, in the Wilayat of Sur on 4 November, in the Wilayat of Duqm on 17 November and in the Wilayat of Khasab on 30 December.
