Muscat: The total fish exports of the Sultanate of Oman by the end of 2022stood at about 281.601 tons, generating RO 140,089,300 and posting a rise of 15.8% compared to 2021.
The figures issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information indicated that Omani fish exports to the GCC countries stood at about 74,323 tons at the end of last year.
As many as 2372 tons of fish were exported to Europe, 18,996 tons to America and 185,909 to other countries.
The Sultanate of Oman’s fish exports varied between fresh fish (64,545 tons), frozen fish (200,763 tons), crustaceans and molluscs (15,240 tons) and other fish (1052 tons). – ONA
