Muscat: His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call this evening with His Excellency Abbas Araqchi, the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His Excellency expressed his wishes for His Excellency Abbas Araqchi’s success, stressing the historical and friendly relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He also expressed his aspiration to continue developing cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields, and to work together to achieve security and stability in the region.
For his part, His Excellency Abbas Araqchi expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his initiative, stressing the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two countries in a way that serves common interests and enhances areas of cooperation between them.
