Oman’s Foreign Minister holds phone call with Slovenian Counterpart

Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in a telephone call today with Tanja Fajon, Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, expressed the Sultanate of Oman’s appreciation for the position of the Slovenian government in support of the justice of the Palestinian cause and calling for a ceasefire and respect for the rules of International.law. His Excellency expressed his confidence in Slovenia’s efforts and constructive and purposeful endeavors within the framework of its current membership in the United Nations Security Council.

The two sides discussed the repercussions of the continued Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the growing international positions for a ceasefire and lifting the siege on Gaza to ensure the flow of relief and humanitarian materials to the population, stressing the necessity of practical action to establish an independent Palestinian state, without which it is not possible to achieve the desired security and peace for all.
