Oman’s Foreign Minister receives phone call from Blinken

Muscat: Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received this evening a phone call from Secretary of State Anthony J. Blinken of the United States of America.

The contact dealt with the existing relations between the two friendly countries and their aspirations to advance them in various fields in a way that enhances common interests and achieves more mutual benefits.

The two ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, especially with regard to efforts to maintain the truce in the Republic of Yemen in order to enhance chances of achieving peace and stability for Yemen.

The two sides also discussed negotiations to resume the nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and the developments of the Ukrainian war.

The importance of intensifying efforts and endeavors to address issues through dialogue and political and diplomatic solutions in a manner that preserves the independence, sovereignty and peaceful coexistence of countries and peoples was emphasized.
