Muscat: The Food Safety & Quality Center (FSQC) has warned against the frozen okra zero product (Sanabel), due to the presence of insect infestations.
In a statement The Food Safety and Quality Center stated that it had received, through the Gulf Rapid Food Alert System, evidence of insect infestations in the product “Frozen Okra Zero” of the brand (Sanabel), which bears batch number (BK3006NA), expiration date 5/2023, weights 400 grams and in the interest of consumer health and safety, the center would like to confirm that It has taken all necessary measures to stop the import of the product at the border crossings, and is currently working to ensure that the local markets are free of affected products, if any, in coordination with the concerned authorities.
