Oman’s Health Minister participates in meeting of Supreme Council of Arab Board of Health Specializations

Amman: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Health, participated in the regular meeting of the Executive Office of the Supreme Commission of the Arab Council for Health Specialties, which was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in the presence of a number of Arab health ministers and representatives of Arab health bodies.

In his speech, His Excellency Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al-Sabti, Minister of Health, stressed the need to pay attention and advance medical education because of the priority it represents in developing the professional lives of doctors providing health care to the patient, which is the primary focus of health systems in all countries of the world, stressing that continuing medical education enhances efficiency. Professionalism develops the scientific and practical knowledge of medical personnel, which helps meet the needs of patients and raise the level of health response in the Arab world.

The meeting aims to discuss improving health services in the Arab world and promoting everything that would contribute to the qualification of specialists in the health fields. The meeting also discussed ways and mechanisms for qualifying health specialists to be highly professional and scientifically competent in accordance with international standards, and touched on raising the scientific and practical levels of health service providers in various health professions and specializations through cooperation with the relevant educational institutions.
