

Muscat: The Ministry of Health will begin tomorrow, Monday, administering the seasonal flu vaccine for target segments.
The segments incldue people over the age of 60 and people with chronic diseases such as respiratory, heart, renal, liver, neurological, blood or metabolic disorders, as well as those who suffer uncontrolled diabetes and obesity among adults and children, in addition to pregnant women, Umrah pilgrims, health sector workers, and two-year old children.
The Ministry called on the target segments to head to the nearest health institution to receive the seasonal flu vaccine to avoid influenza infection, which affects the respiratory system, which may lead to serious complications.
The Ministry pointed out that the vaccine is available in the private health sector for non-targeted citizens and residents.
