Muscat: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, today signed 25 usufruct contracts to the tune of RO 2,049,000 to award land plots for investment projects in a number of governorates in Oman.
The contracts were signed by Eng. Hamad Ali Al Nazwani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing, and representatives of firms that obtained lands under the usufruct system.
These contracts covered 3 industrial projects in the South A’Sharqiyah Governorate, 15 residential and commercial projects in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate, 3 industrial and commercial projects in the Muscat Governorate, 2 commercial and industrial projects in Dhofar Governorate, a commercial project in Al Wusta Governorate and a commercial residential project in A’Dhahirah Governorate.
These projects comprised the setting up of a plastic bags production unit, a commercial complex, a school, warehouses, an ice factory, offices, and workers’ accommodation. The rest of the projects included auctions for industrial and residential commercial use.
