Muscat: The Ministry of Information announced the start of transmission from a new a radio station broadcasting Al Shabab (youth) programmes in the Wilayat of Duqm in Al Wusta Governorate. The radio service operates on the frequency of 103.5 MHz with a capacity of 1 kilowatt.
The number of radio stations in the Sultanate of Oman now stands at 136 distributed as follows: 16 stations in the Governorate of Muscat, 28 in the governorates of North and South Al Batinah, 12 in Al Dhahirah Governorate, 4 in Al Buraimi Governorate, 6 in Al Wusta Governorate, 15 in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, 22 in North and South Al Sharqiyah governorates, 13 in Musandam Governorate and 20 in Dhofar Governorate. -ONA
