Muscat: The total assets of banks and Islamic windows combined increased by 13 percent to reach about 7 billion Omani riyals by the end of July 2023, representing 17.2 percent of the total assets of the banking sector in the Sultanate of Oman compared to the same period last year.
Statistics issued by the Central Bank of Oman showed that the total balance of financing granted by units practicing this activity recorded an increase of 12.3 percent to reach about 5.8 billion Omani riyals.
Deposits at Islamic banks and windows also recorded an increase of 12.9 percent, reaching about 5.3 billion Omani riyals by the end of July 2023.
